Time to relax!
- “The Hydraulic Press Channel is quite soothing. Why YouTube exists, in my opinion.” – Hydraulic Press Channel
- “I told myself I needed to at least attempt (keyword) to quiet my mind and enjoy what is meant to be this season of pure relaxation. I’m a worrier (I’m also a Cancer, if that makes my sensitive traits more understandable) and struggle with giving myself time to rest, so I knew I’d have to be increasingly aware of my attitude and stress levels.” – How I Finally Learned to Chill Out and Relax This Summer
- “Everyone involved — children, parents, and nurses — preferred the tablet distraction method over the midazolam. Having a non-pharmacologic alternative to quell nerves made the operation ordeal easier to swallow.” – Playing an iPad game is just as soothing as sedatives
- “Does this set the record for filmed footage with the greatest amount of bears eating the greatest amount of apples? Maybe! There’s no record for that.” – Watching bears devour apples is surprisingly relaxing
- “…if you’re using the same mental activities to relax as you do to work, your brain isn’t really getting a rest. You might spend all day reading text on a screen at work and then try to relax by reading news sites or an ereader at home. You might like one of these activities more, but for your brain it’s still pretty much the same. To really relax, it’s better to find something that doesn’t resemble the work you do…” – Take Breaks That Don’t Use the Same Skills As Your Work For Better Relaxation
